Queer Workshop-Find Your Place In History
Saturday, June 7, 3-5 PM
Free Community Event-Ticket RSVP Required
Instructor: Tori Downes (she/they)
Tori is a senior, a musician, an activist, and a Trans Femme. She is originally from London UK and lives in San Francisco in the Castro district.
History is thought of as static - but in practice it is active. We are making history Right Now! Our current Queer lives are built on the shoulders of those who came before, but at the same time we are building our own history, and building the future story of those who follow us.
This workshop will be a personal history – embedded in the wider history of our community – encouraging attendees to share their histories.
This is an interactive workshop with Q &A plus group sharing encouraged to build a community history together! I hope you can take from this smorgasbord some things that will nourish you.
