Clay Play: Trinket Dish

Sink your hands into some clay and create a unique fantastical ring dish!
Your instructor will begin by sharing tips and techniques for successful handbuilding, and then give you your own pre-made clay slab to cut and form into your desired dish shape. We will provide templates and examples for suggested shapes and demonstrate easy ways to build simple embellishments for holding your rings. The rest of class will be dedicated to creativity and socialization as you create your own creature, sculpture, or abstract form to adorn your dish and finish with adding paint embellishments.
Trays will be finished with a clear glossy glaze by RECC and be ready to pick up in approximately 2-3 weeks.
Please note that you will not be going home with your piece by the end of the workshop. All work will be glazed and fired by our staff and will be ready for pick-up approximately 2-3 weeks after the workshop. We will email you once it's ready.
