Saturday and Sunday, Dec 5 - Dec 6, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Sliding scale pricing (use codes below):
$140-$160-$180
Instructor: Shyanne Davis
This two-day workshop is an introduction to throwing figurative forms on the wheel. Human forms can be pretty tricky and time consuming to make, but this method will have you building bodies in no time. In this class we will
1. Break anatomy down into forms that are simple to throw. If you can throw a cylinder you can throw a hand!
2. Plan desired hand position
3. Throw planned pieces off the hump
4. Assemble the many pieces into desired form
5. Carve and detail our hands until they come to life!
At the end of this workshop you will walk away with a third hand (two is simply not enough!) and the knowledge to throw a whole body to go with it.
