Saturday, June 20, 12 - 2 PM
Instructor: Lew of LookieLew and Lella of T Nest Press
We're celebrating PRIDE with a workshop made specifically for our Queer and Trans community.
Spicy Pride Prints is a beginner-friendly 2-hour risograph workshop centered around QT joy, creative play, and a little bit of mischief. Whether you've never touched a riso machine or just want an excuse to make something delightfully bold with your people, this one's for you.
You'll create a 2-color collage using images from your instructor's personal collection of vintage art plus anything spicy you bring from home. Your instructor will walk you briefly through the basics of riso printing, share what you need to know for great results, and then it's your time to get creative. Designs get printed on one of our two Risograph machines and you'll walk out with up to 10 copies, enough to keep and trade.
All supplies provided. You're welcome to bring your own collage materials and personal collections to incorporate into your design.
This workshop is intentionally centered on our Queer and Trans community. All experience levels welcome, beginners especially encouraged.
