Have you been itching to figure out where to go next with your pottery skills? Is a mug or bowl just not cutting it for you anymore? Look no further, I have the answer for you... teapots.
In this class, we'll be honing your skills on the wheel while learning new techniques you can use across a variety of vessels, not just teapots. Have you wanted to learn to throw off the hump? We'll be doing some of that. Maybe you want to learn how to collar for bottles or spouts? We'll do some of that too.
Over these 4 weeks, you'll learn the ins and outs of what makes a functional teapot from the way it pours, to the way it feels in your hands, to (of course) the way it looks.
This is an intermediate level class, which means we will NOT be reviewing fundamental techniques such as centering or pulling. You should be able to confidently make a vessel on your own and be comfortable throwing 2-3 pounds of clay.
Students will be notified via the email used for purchase when their work is ready for pick up, which usually takes about 3-4 weeks.
We look forward to having tea time with you!
