A more specific sister class to "Practicing Art: Drawing to Improve, Shape Design, & Perspective", "Practicing Digital Art" teaches digital painters how to communicate ideas using digital software such as Clip Studio, Photoshop, Paint Tool Sai, and Procreate. Learn how to enhance your artmaking workflow, backed by over a decade of experience.
Each session is split between an hour of instruction followed by an hour of practice/demonstration. The first session covers software fluency and factors to consider when approaching a digital painting. The second session is all about rendering forms and objects, reframing ideas and practices from Shape Design. The third and final session elaborates the previous, explaining color theory in a palatable format.
Digital artists of all experience levels are welcome. Required materials are a tablet/laptop with a digital art software (Clip Studio, Photoshop, Paint Tool Sai, Procreate, etc.) and, if applicable, a drawing tablet/stylus. Sketchbooks are not mandatory, but highly recommended/appreciated.
