Practicing Art: Drawing to Improve, Shape Design, & Perspectiv

$125.00

Saturdays, October 11 - October 25, 1:30 - 3:30 PM

Sliding scale pricing (use codes below):

$85-$105-$125

Drawing is the foundation of all visual artmaking. Just like more complex art disciplines, drawing ability can be honed and developed. Learn to effectively communicate ideas with the simplest of materials.

The first session covers different drawing practices and the philosophies behind them. The second session focuses on using shape design to draw objects as forms. The third and final session tackles perspective: depicting a space and objects in it.

As a modest artform, drawing only requires pencil and paper to be brought to the class, both of which can be provided by RECC, if needed. Sketchbooks are not required, but highly recommended and appreciated, as are alternative mark-making tools (pens, markers, brushes).
