Intro to Riso 1: Analog

$120.00
Sold Out

Sliding scale pricing (use codes below):

$80-$100-$120

This is beginner friendly and for those who are new to Riso or those who have printed with Riso before but are interested to learn more about how to do it themselves.

**This class is REQUIRED to book Risograph Open Studio time**

This 3-hour class will walk you through everything you need to know to run and print with a Risograph: changing color drums, machine settings, scanning bed functions, replacing consumables, and basic troubleshooting. We will cover printing with both our single drum SF5130 and 2-color drum MF9450. We will do a test print as a group to walk through the printing workflow, and then have time to design and print your own to put into practice the steps you’ve learned. Each participant will have the chance to run the machine themselves and print 10 copies of a 2-color design for themselves and enough to trade with classmates so everyone has a Riso collection to go home with. All printing and art supplies are provided, but you may also bring your own art and supplies from home if you wish.

This class will only cover analog, or physically created and then scanned printing, and is focused on you being able to run the Riso machines yourself safely by the end of the lesson. We will not be covering specifics related to digital printing.
